Importance of motivational quotes/conversations

I got an inspiration message yesterday from a colleague on my BBM and I felt so good. When I thanked here the response came.. "I was also needing this dose today".. How do motivational quotes/conversations helped in getting control back on yourself? Is it because from time to time we all feel down and out because of various reasons? And we find that we need extra inspiration and motivation to keep us going. Sometimes it can be something as simple as inspirational quotes to help us get back on our feet.
One of my favourite inspirational quote - "Keep learning!! You are as young as your last bright idea"

Change.. For good or show off???

Change is constant.. So true.. Change for a good is good..But is it good always when its because of society or peer pressure? Why do people show off? Peer and society pressure? Is it by choice or by compulsion? I have observed many people changing their attitude/outlook only because they want to look "cool" in front of others.. Why is it so tempting? Why is it so easy to buckle down under pressure?
Have I also changed over a period of time? Do I laugh at others because they dont behave/talk the way I think is perfect!? I guess yes... Wish I can stick to what I am.. And let nobody affact me so easily..

Is patience a virtue??

The phrase "patience is a virtue" is just a way of expressing the importance of being patient..Its said patience can make us better people..There is a quote from Thomas Jefferson - Nothing gives one person so much advantage over another as to remain always cool and unruffled under all circumstances.. We all know about this.. But why do we buckle up under pressure when we actually have to exercise this? What should we do to have that control on oneself under difficult circumstances? I have always shared these thoughts with people who are going through rough phase.. But I fail most of the times when it comes to have it being usef for myself..

Patience is a virtue, have it if you can.
Seldom found in woman,
Never in a man..

Relative Happiness Index

The RHI represents a new means for quantitatively assessing the general state of mind of populations and comparing them. RHI came to my mind when I was thinking today about my problems (at least I call them problems ;-)). And I could recall problems that my friends/colleagues/acquaintances shared with me.. And immediately I felt good.. Why?? Is it because happiness is an abstract, personal, and relative notion?? I feel better when I get to know about other peoples' problems?? Why is it like that?? Life is a b**** at times...

Is it ok not to be ok???

Its rainy day today.. Very depressing.. So instead of lazying around I thought of watching movies.. Thats how movie marathon started.. Saw this movie - Step up 3.. And one line that struck me out of this movie is - Its ok not to be ok.. How I wish life was like this...

Why cant I be left alone if I am not ok.. Why do I have to explain to people what I am going through if I am not ok.. How easy it is for me to pretend that I am ok even if I am not.. Life full of complexities.. Guess all these situations make human beings a good actor :-))
